Rocki Track

Rocki Track ("we," "our," or "the app") is a free bus route planning tool for the Sacramento community, built and operated by Alcazar Digital Systems. This page explains what information the app touches, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.

What we collect

• Location (optional). If you tap "Use My Location," your browser's Geolocation API shares your device's GPS coordinates with the app for that one request. We send those coordinates to our own server function, which asks Google's Geocoding API to convert them into a street address. We do not store your coordinates or your location history — the request exists only to fill in the "From" field.
• Addresses you type or select. Any address you type or choose from autocomplete is used to calculate a route. We don't log or retain these beyond what's needed to return your results.
• Saved address (optional). If you use the "Save" feature, that address is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. It never reaches our servers and we never see it.
• Basic usage analytics. We collect anonymous, aggregate events (e.g., "a route search succeeded") to understand whether the app is working, not to identify individual users. No account, name, or persistent identifier is attached.

Google Maps Platform

Rocki Track uses Google Maps Platform (Maps, Places Autocomplete, Geocoding, and Directions) to power address search and route calculation. Your use of these features is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Address and route data you enter is sent to Google to generate the corresponding results; we don't control Google's handling of that data beyond what their policy describes.

What we don't do

• We don't require an account, login, or personal contact information to use Rocki Track.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising.
• We don't track you across other websites or apps.

Data retention

Route searches are processed to return results and are not retained afterward on our servers. Saved addresses live only in your browser's local storage and stay there until you clear them (via the app's "Clear" option or your browser settings).

Your choices

Location access is always optional — you can search by typing an address instead. You can clear a saved address at any time from within the app, or clear your browser's local storage to remove it directly.

Children's privacy

Rocki Track is a general-audience transit tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
